Riaan is a passionate software development practitioner with a wide range of experience in the art of programming, software project delivery, leadership and technology strategy. His leadership capabilities range across the entire spectrum, from hands on leading a development team to their delivery goal to managing an entire development division building out some of the most prominent internet applications in Africa.
Riaan is a polyglot technologist with a range of technologies and languages under his belt and prides himself on his ability to learn and unlearn. As technology is a necessary condition but not sufficient, he also has a keen interest in people and what drives them, as well as behaviours and the complex interplay of social dynamics in groups and individuals within organisations and of course life outside of work.
